Disciples Minister Will Fill Temporary Associate General Minister Position

Marshall Dunn has been called to the position of Temporary Associate General Minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Dunn, former senior minister at University Christian Church (DOC) in Hyattsville, Md., also has been a member of the General Board for the last six years and is a member of the Mission Funding Task Force.

"We are extremely grateful to Marshall for interrupting his retirement to help us out with some important projects," said General Minister and President Sharon Watkins.

Dunn was pastor at University Christian Church for 31 years, retiring in 2005. He also served as the first president of the Illinois-Wisconsin College of Ministers and has been trained in organizational development. Dunn, who remains very active in ecumenical ministries, will start on Sept. 11 and serve through the end of the year.
