GMP Is Co-author of 2006 Advent Devotional Partners in Prayer

ST. LOUIS, MO—With the season of Advent quickly approaching, Christian Board of Publication announces the release of its annual devotional Partners in Prayer, written by Sharon Watkins and Richard Lowery.

Now in its 25th year of publication, Partners in Prayer has been a valuable resource for congregations and individuals seeking spiritual inspiration during the Advent season. Partners in Prayer 2006 is no exception, as Watkins and Lowery guide their readers to the Christmas season and invite them to “prepare for the coming of the Lord.”

The daily devotions are intended to take readers from the first Sunday of Advent (Dec. 3) through New Year’s Day. The daily scripture readings are based on the Revised Common Lectionary, and the daily reflections explore the themes raised during the previous week as well as prepare readers for the upcoming Sunday’s scripture.
