Presidential Forum That Included GMP Watkins Can Now Be Watched On The Internet

Thousands of viewers around the country were able to watch General Minister and President Sharon E. Watkins and four other religious leaders ask questions of the leading Democratic presidential candidates on a national television broadcast this week. Billed as a “Presidential Forum on Faith, Values and Poverty,” the event was broadcast live by CNN on Monday night, June 4, at 7 p.m. (EST) and sponsored by Sojourners/Call to Renewal.

The forum was held at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and was moderated by CNN’s Soledad O’Brien. The group of religious leaders, which included Sojourners Executive Director Jim Wallis, queried the candidates on such issues as prayer, faith, and evolution.
