There is an Excel template you can use to upload the information from your local software straight into ALEX. You can find the template to download on your “Weekly Entries” page (click on the pencil in a square icon), and use the “add entry” button to upload.
From your home page, click on the “weekly reporting” icon on the left. It looks a little like a pencil in a checkbox.
Click the green button for importing an Excel document. This will take you to a popup where you can download the template you will need. It has the columns in the order and with the headers needed for ALEX to recognize the data.
The popup that appears will have a button to click to download the template. The file will automatically download as “weekly template.”
You can open the template. Note that you will need to “enable editing” before you can enter information. You will then have the opportunity to enter information and save the document to your computer. NOTE for congregations in Alabama, Arkansas, California and others whose PIN starts with “0” – You will need to make sure your PIN column is saved as TEXT with the 0 at the beginning of your PIN.
When you have the Excel sheet prepared, you can return to this popup and browse your computer to find the file you just saved and upload it.
