Would you like to get something more out of those traditional church spaghetti suppers? Have you a special potluck recipe that you’ve been dying to share with others outside of your congregation? If so the Disciples of Christ Historical Society has just the solution for you.
The Disciples Cookbook Project (DCP) will highlight the best recipes from congregations across the United States and Canada. The project also will collect cookbooks from churches to preserve in the Historical Society’s storied archives. "We’re looking for cookbooks published by Disciples congregations that tell the unique story of that church and its traditions," said Historical Society president Glenn Thomas Carson. All those attending the General Assembly in Nashville are encouraged to bring their church cookbooks for inclusion in the project.
