The Board of Hispanic Ministries would like to announce the appointment of Rev. William Almodovar as Interim National Hispanic Pastor. Almodovar serves the congregation of Iglesia Cristiana Casa Alfarero in Allisonville, Indiana. He accepted the appointment with the approval, support and celebration of his congregation.
The position will be on a part-time basis beginning in April upon the completion of Rev. Huberto Pimentel’s term as National Hispanic Pastor. Almodovar’s term as Interim National Hispanic Pastor will conclude with the anticipated announcement of the next National Hispanic Pastor at the National Hispanic and Bilingual Assembly in July 2016. We celebrate a God who provides faithfully and request continued prayers during this time of transition.
Almodovar was, born and raised in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico where he was a member of the Christian Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Villa Las Lomas and the First Christian Church in Kissimmee, FL. He earned his bachelor’s degree in secondary education with a major in history from the University of Puerto Rico. He earned his Master of Divinity at the Christian Theological Seminary.
