Week Of Compassion Responds To Storms In Midwest And South

Week of CompassionWeek of Compassion (WOC) has responded to communities across the Midwest recently following storms that have sliced through the mid section of the country. The Ozarks Lakes area of Missouri recently received a grant for tornado recovery. WOC also sent a grant to First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Marion, Ill., where 18 families from the congregation sustained damage from an inland hurricane on May 8. The church itself also lost its roof. The storms also damaged the roof at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Carbondale, Ill.

A grant from Week of Compassion also is helping with tree replanting at the homes of those affected by a recent tornado in Murfreesboro, Tenn. WOC, the relief and development fund of the Church, continues to welcome contributions, which go in their entirety as donors direct them.
