Ecumenical Organization Address Poverty and Racism

Christian Churches TogetherEighty-five church and organizational leaders met February 14-17 in Memphis, Tennessee to discern together how Christian Churches Together, an ecumenical Christian group, should respond to racism and poverty now. Participants represented 36 African-American, Catholic, Protestant, Evangelical/Pentecostal and Orthodox churches and six Christian organizations. The meeting included visits to historic sites in Memphis, and reports on international efforts from malaria eradication to the violence in Syria.
