The Office of the General Minister and President is now accepting nominations for the 2019-2021 Moderator Team and for membership in the Class of 2023 of the General Board. If you would like to nominate someone for one or both of these appointments, please complete the form below. Please note: if submitting a name for consideration to both the moderator team and General Board, you must complete the form twice – once for each governing body.
The Moderator-Elect, First Vice Moderator, and Second Vice Moderator shall be nominated by the General Nominating Committee and elected by the General Assembly. The Moderator-Elect shall serve for two years and then serve as Moderator for two years. The Vice Moderators shall serve for two years. Vice Moderators assist the Moderator in presiding at the sessions of the General Assembly, the General Board, and the Administrative Committee, and shall assume such other responsibilities as may be assigned by these bodies. The Moderator-Elect shall assume other responsibilities as may be assigned by the General Board or Administrative Committee.
Members of the General Board are elected to a four-year term and may be re-elected to a second four-year term. General Board terms begin and end at the close of the General Assembly. Elected members of the General Board who have served two full consecutive terms shall not be eligible for re-election until one biennium has elapsed.
