Bethany College professor Larry Grimes will become the school’s director of church relations on July 1. Grimes is retiring as the Perry E. and Aleece Gresham Chair in Humanities, a professor of English and chair of the department of literature and language. He taught at Bethany for 38 years. In his new position, Grimes will be responsible for working to help churches, pastors, alumni and friends form meaningful relations with Bethany, which is affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Grimes graduated from Bethany in 1964, earned a B.D. from Yale Divinity School in 1967, and received a Ph.D. from Emory University in 1974. He is a renowned scholar of author Ernest Hemingway, and pastor of Community Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Beech Bottom, W.Va. To learn more, go to: http://sn.im/ivfil
