Chapman University graduate Lauryn Linsell will travel to Nicaragua to work on maternal health issues, after being named a Fulbright Scholarship Award winner for the 2010-’11 academic year. While at Chapman, Linsell was an active member of the Disciples on Campus program, serving on the DOC Leadership Board twice and the DOC Worship team. She came to Chapman from Desert Dove Christian Church in Tucson, Ariz.
Linsell will work in a region of Nicaragua that suffers from the country’s highest rate of maternal morbidity. "Lauryn is going to be changing women’s lives," said Barbara Mulch, director of fellowship and scholar programs for Chapman. "She’s already been doing that and she’s going to be doing more."
