The 2011 summer session at Pacific School of Religion promises to be more than just classroom instruction. PSR will offer more than 20 courses during summer session, which takes place July 5-Aug. 12. Leadership, religion, spirituality, and theology will be among the courses offered. There also will be activities happening on campus over much of each week, including welcome sessions on Mondays, public lectures on Tuesdays, Taize services on Wednesdays, and a series of Saturday workshops and retreats.
Summer Session is designed with the needs of seminarians, practicing clergy, and interested lay people in mind, and courses may be taken for clergy continuing education units (CEUs), audit, or academic credit. There are several courses which would be suitable for congregational formation. Pacific School of Religion encourages congregations or lay study groups to consider attending together. PSR, which serves as a multi-denominational Christian seminary, is located in Berkeley, Calif. To find out more, see: www.psr.edu/summer
