A former executive with the Christian Board of Publication has died. Joseph H. "Joe" Bragg Jr., 80, died June 20 in Tampa, Fla., where he resided. Bragg served for many years in the General Editorial Division. A memorial service and visitation will be held at 3 p.m. July 12 at Woodmont Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Nashville.
"Joe Bragg was a friend and colleague to many in his years here as vice president and director of the General Editorial Division," said Cyrus N. White, president and publisher of the Christian Board of Publication, Chalice Press and Lucas Park Books. "Before (and beyond) his retirement in 1995, Dr. Bragg was an enthusiastic champion of high standards for education in congregations, for the training and care of teachers, and for effective resources to support these."
