The whole church is invited to join Rev. Terri Hord Owens, General Minister and President, for a churchwide study of The Faith We Affirm by Ronald Osborn starting May 27. Clarity about the basics of our faith and God’s covenant of love is more important than ever. We identify as a movement for wholeness, as people of the Bible, and as an anti-racist church that affirms the limitless love of God through how we practice our faith. All are welcome to attend one or all three sessions in this three part, interactive, churchwide study.

I have another commitment on Tuesday nights, so can’t attend. Will the full session, or at least Terri’s prepared comments, be recorded and posted? I would love to watch at another time, and maybe incorporate into a new Disciples class. We will definitely be hosting a new Disciples class this fall, as we are growing rapidly — in worship we are about 50% people with no historic connection to DOC, at the moment!

Hello Anne, the study will be recorded.
Brett Meadors
Good morning,
Are there certain chapters the discussions will focus on each week or should I prepare by rereading the whole book before the first session?
Thanks,
Brett
Angelique Jordan Byrd
Hello Brett, the book has six chapters. The study will review 2 chapters a week.
Peggy Trott
How do we access this study AND the recordings? Thank you.
Angelique Jordan Byrd
Hello Peggy, once you register for the study, you will receive a link to join the online sessions. The recordings will be made available after the completion of the study as well.
