CONASPEH, a Global Ministries partner in Haiti, is working hard to provide emergency and relief support to persons still recovering from the Jan. 12 earthquake that rocked the tiny Caribbean nation. CONASPEH is a grassroots organization that works with about 6,700 churches with a membership of 1.6 million. The group also has provided support for the families of those who have died, including assistance with the burial of victims.
Information about CONASPEH’s work is included in an "Update on Haiti" letter submitted by Felix Ortiz, Global Ministries Area Executive for Haiti, following his second pastoral visit to the country after the earthquake. Ortiz’s letter also talks about supplies and donations that have reached the country for CONASPEH and another Global Ministry partner, House of Hope.
