Christian Board of Publication president and publisher to complete his tenure in 2011

Cyrus N. Cyrus N. "Russ" White, president and publisher of the Christian Board of Publication/Chalice Press/Lucas Park Books, will complete his tenure with the publishing house effective July 15, 2011, the CBP board of directors has announced. Among other ventures, White will become chair of the board and chief executive officer of GraceNet Inc., a non-profit corporation that provides research, coaching and consulting in the effective spiritual leadership of revitalizing congregations.

"We have completed the assignments the board gave me at the outset," White said. "The CBP staff has attained a growing digital and online presence, improved financial sustainability, and created a robust collaborative model for publishing effective leadership development, evangelism, and Christian spiritual formation resources."

White took over as president of the Christian Board of Publication in 1997, and has served the longest tenure of any president since that of CBP’s founder, R.A. Long. The Christian Board of Publication board will begin a national search for a successor early in 2011. To learn more, see: www.disciples.org/Portals/0/PDF/DNS/2010/20101110-CBPPresident.pdf
