Saundra Bryant is proud to call All Peoples Christian Center in Los Angeles, Calif. her second home. That may be because Bryant originally attended All People’s daycare when she was only two years old.
Something about the nurture and warmth of All Peoples has always drawn her back. For the past 27 years, the licensed clinical social worker has served as the center’s Executive Director. All Peoples, which was originally set up as one of the seven mission centers of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), serves residents in south central LA. She oversees a staff of 27 in an area that is challenged by low-income households, high unemployment and drug and gang activity. Bryant is the center’s champion, chief fundraiser and decision maker.
