Organizers of the 49th Conference of the Association of Disciple Musicians (ADM) reported recently on their successful summer event. Approximately 90 musicians gathered at Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Lexington, Ky., on July 24 for the start of the four-day conference. They were led by Larry Sivis and John Opsata for worship; Robert Hobby for organ study, Lynne Gackle for choral work, Tim Waugh for handbells; and Andra Moran for emerging worship.
ADM will celebrate its 50th anniversary next summer at its 2011conference, which will be held at University Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Anyone interested in church worship and the nurturing of all aspects of church music is encouraged to find out more about ADM and become an active member of the denomination’s music organization.
