Registration still open for new church planter training

Hope PartnershipDo you dare to risk the ride? A few slots are still available to leaders of new Disciples church starts for new church planter training, September 26-30, 2011, in Indianapolis. Training enables planters to obtain information and enhance skills for developing new mission.  Topics include creating vision, mission, values statements; identifying and defining target areas and demographics; the coaching process; leader development; marketing strategies; budgeting and finances; and more.

Up to three people are invited from each new church start and can include the planter, the planter’s spouse, key leader(s) from the core group, member(s) of the steering committee, or a person from the region involved with the new church. As space allows, clergy and laypersons exploring a call to new church ministry may also apply.

The new church ministry of Church Extension covers the cost of food, lodging and training, while each participant is responsible for transportation and tuition of $100 per person.

Registration closes at the end of August.  Please contact Sharon Merchant or Brenda Rossy at 1-800-274-1883, email ncm@churchextension.org or visit www.newchurchministry.org for more information.
