Disciples from across the country are gathering in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, June 23rd for a mass “Call to Action Rally” on the National Mall to let our voices be heard and to stand with directly impacted people to demand justice for the poor. This is an important and historic sending forth event and Global Day of Solidarity for the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival. The rally with special speakers and musical performances is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning, so please plan to arrive in D.C. on Friday, June 22 or early Saturday morning. By signing up we will be able to contact you as plans are finalized. Rev. Dr. Peter Heltzel will be available to answer questions regarding transportation (some buses and caravans are being organized around the country), lodging in D.C., and Disciples gatherings, etc. Please don’t miss this exciting opportunity to come together in our Capitol City with fellow Disciples — and thousands of our ecumenical partners and movement friends!
