DisciplesWorld announced this week that the final issue of the magazine is on its way to subscribers. The independent monthly journal launched in 2002 announced its closure and dissolution in December. At that time, a special designated grant was made to the magazine on the condition that it be used only for the design, printing, writing, and mailing of a final issue. This grant, from a Donor Advised Fund with the Christian Church Foundation specifically requested by Joe and Nancy Stalcup, is making it possible to notify all subscribers of the dissolution, to say farewell with some grace and care, and to generate advertising income which can be used to meet financial obligations. "We are incredibly grateful for this generous grant from two of the magazine’s earliest supporters," said Verity A. Jones, publisher and editor.
