The Gay, Lesbian and Affirming Alliance (GLAD) summer retreat will take place in Orange, Calif. Chapman University will host the retreat, which is scheduled for July 16-18. Author Chris Glaser will offer keynote reflections during the meeting, while noted Disciples musician and actor William Thomas Jr. will lead worship and music.
The theme of the GLAD Alliance retreat is: "It’s Your Story to Tell." Glaser, who has authored Coming Out as Sacrament and several other books, including his latest work, The Final Deadline: What Death Has Taught Me About Life, believes sharing one’s story is a powerful act of grace for one’s self and the church.
