Jody Grieb is the new volunteer director of the AIDS Ministry Network, Disciples Home Missions recently announced. Grieb is a member of Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Terre Haute, Ind. He also is founder and director of Wabash Valley PATH (www.wvpath.org) which provides prevention and educational services to increase awareness and reduce the transmission of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STI).
In December of 2008, Grieb began working with the AIDS Ministry Network to help bring faith-based comprehensive HIV/STI prevention programs and free anonymous HIV testing to member congregations and organizations. Grieb will be working to update web information on AIDS Ministry and networking with congregations that are interested in participating in this ministry. He will also coordinate related activities at the 2009 Indianapolis General Assembly, which will include an HIV/AIDS healing service, an information booth and a mobile testing unit providing free anonymous HIV testing.
