Congregations offered bulk rate on Advent devotional, electronic delivery available
Advent’s scripture passages call us to imagine a new world, one free from fear, not one based on a “return to normal.” In Chalice Press’ 2020 Advent devotional, Imagining a New World, General Minister and President Terri Hord Owens delves into Advent lectionary texts to reflect on God’s vision for the world and how we might find the courage to imagine, the permission to change, and the freedom to fear no more. A prayer round outs each daily devotion.
Imagining a New World offers an inspiring pause during the day to reflect more prayerfully on what the season of Advent inspires in you and your community. Owens will be addressing the themes of the devotion during her regular weekly video messages during Advent (posted on Facebook and YouTube). While physical copies are sold out, if you prefer to read on your Kindle, Nook or other e-reader, digital books are available for download from your device’s bookstore.
Congregations taking advantage of bulk discounts can receive subscriptions to a weekly email that will include all the content from the devotional. (See ChalicePress.com or the November 16 Disciples Together email for details.)
